Responsibilities
- Perform assigned duties and collaborate to ensure project success.
- Inspect and witness leak testing for compliance.
- Participate in system/work package activities and walkdowns for conformity checks.
- Inspect welding consumable storage, handling, and material identification.
- Verify welding equipment calibration and maintenance.
- Ensure safe welding process grounding connections.
- Confirm production welding activities meet specifications.
- Ensure weldments fulfill examination and criteria requirements.
- Monitor welding, heat treatment, and testing processes.
- Review records for accuracy and traceability.
- Communicate and fulfill requirements.
- Promote safety and compliance with policies and regulations.
- Support project goals and quality audits.
- Address nonconformities and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain records of quality requirements and acceptance.
- Resolve quality issues and collaborate on improvements.
- Foster good working relationships and manage conflicts.
- Liaise with project personnel to achieve outcomes.
- Practice self-accountability and assist Quality Lead as needed.
- Report quality management activities.
Desired Capabilities, Experience, and Qualifications
- 10+ years of inspection experience in welding and testing.
- Experience with high-value chemical or infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of fabrication, construction, and inspection.
- Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or higher (AWS).
- Certified NDT Level II or III (ASNT) with a focus on volumetric methods.
- Additional industry standard certifications (e.g., AMPP, ICC).
- Strong character and professional conduct.
- Ability to work under pressure and outside normal hours.
- Proficiency in technical documentation and industry standards.
- Ability to work independently or in a team.
- Skills in prioritizing tasks and risk management.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Results-oriented with situational awareness.
- English proficiency; Spanish or other Latin languages are a plus.
